We asked the Season 7 Idol finalists "When were you happiest and why?" Here's what some of them had to say:

David Archuleta - Some of the greatest memories I have are just being with all my family and having a great time.

Syesha Mercado - Top 24. It took many obstacles to overcome to make it there.

Jason Castro - Up to now in my life, the happiest time was when I was the drummer in a band called "Keeping Lions". There, I learned more about life and music and grew in so many ways and had four best friends.

Brooke White - Lots of happy moments, getting married, making the Top 24 and when my Mom made me eggs benedict for my birthday. So yummy!

Amanda Overmyer - Right now. I have a great family. I am now getting to do do what I love every day. I have a best friend for a fiance and future is looking good.
