Question: How has music inspired you?
Answer: Having Tourettes & Aspergers, I've felt at times that I'm unwanted or untalented growing up. Music has always been my escape!
Question: Do you have any formal singing training?
Answer: I had basic vocal training as a kid, but the voice that I have today is self-taught by watching my influences.
Question: What album would your friends be surprised you own?
Answer: A tie between: Disney's Hercules Soundtrack and Beavis & Butthead Do America Movie Soundtrack :)
Question: If you could perform with any person or group, who would it be and why?
Answer: I would LOVE to perform with Mr. Steven Tyler.
Question: What do you do to unwind after a performance?
Answer: I'm always running on adrenaline. I like to ride it out and just relax.

Question: What’s your dream song to perform?
Answer: I can't wait to perform my version of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps." It really expresses my entire life!
Question: What makes a great performer?
Answer: Somone that knows their limit and when to hold back. Who can give 100% the first night and keep giving more and more every performance.
Question: How do you combat stage fright?
Answer: I don't get stage fright ANYMORE. The stage is my safe place. It's like my comfort zone.
Question: How do you plan on differentiating yourself in the competition?
Answer: No one has ever sung some of the song I'm gonna sing on the show. And I'm also going to surprise some when I turn it around 180
Question: If you could model your career after an artist, who would it be and why?
Answer: It would have to be Paul McCartney. His career is still going strong! Plus, he's a modest, household name and he entertains generations of fans.
Question: If you couldn’t sing, what other talent would you most like to have?
Answer: My other dream has always been to have a role in the WWE. Don't think I would want to actually wrestle, but I'd love to be a manager.
Question: What has been the most unique job/chore you’ve ever had?
Answer: I was a security guard. The best part about it was that I would do "special events." And my favorite event was providing security for pro-wrestling shows.

Question: What’s the most embarrassing thing you’ve ever seen or experienced??
Answer: I was in a theatre production of Beauty and the Beast playing The Beast. I was "transforming" back into the prince behind a veil that came down. Suddenly it falls, just missing my head! I was left standing in mid costume change. In order to finish I had to "faint" behind the set piece.
Question: What’s your proudest moment in life outside of American Idol?
Answer: The day my son Hunter Salvatore Durbin was born on May 1, 2009.
Question: What would people be surprised to learn about you?
Answer: I have been and continue to be a LIFETIME fan of Professional Wrestling! Oooh Yeah!

Answer: I'm not sure

Answer: Robert Plant. One of my favorite things about being a "fellow" musician is hearing stories from legends about their tours or how they broke into the business, etc. I love it!

Question: What’s been the most surprising part of the Idol experience so far?
Answer: Having the support of the judges! It's been hard for me to get comfortable being around these stars
Question: What have you learned about yourself by going through the Idol audition process?
Answer: Going through the auditions I've gotten a better understanding of who I really am, what makes me tick, and that I'm very patient. There's a lot of waiting involved and I've gotten to the point where I could and would wait a whole week just so that I could sing for a minute and a half for America.
Question: What are you hoping to get out of your Idol experience?
Answer: Out of my Idol experience I hope to be able to have a successful career. I want to be able to be safe financially and able to live comfortably. I've dreamed that I could be the man that brings back Stadium Rock! But more than just that, American Idol is the experience and every second that I've been here, I'm gaining more and more experience. Best New Artist would be an added bonus! All in all, I just want an outstanding, successful career as a singer and entertainer.
