Question: Who has influenced your personal musical style?
Answer: All the Divas ... Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Christina Aguilera, and Mariah Carey especially. ... And I can't leave out Adele.
Question: Who is your favorite male artist and why?
Answer: Frank Sinatra ... he always puts me in a good mood.
Question: Who is your favorite female artist and why?
Answer: Mariah Carey ... she has the greatest voice on earth and is an incredible songwriter.
Question: What was the first concert you attended?
Answer: It was a British pop band - S Club 7.
Question: If you could perform in any venue?
Answer: Madison Square Garden, because I think that's every aspiring artist's dream venue to fill.
Question: How has music inspired you?
Answer: Music can help you through any kind of emotion. It can help you through a break-up, make you dance, or help you realize or understand something about yourself ... and if I can sing a song and make someone feel those things then I will feel like I have made a difference.
Question: Do you have any formal singing training?
Answer: No ... well I auditioned for season 10 and didn't make it through to the top 24 so after that I got a voice teacher ... the only training I have had has been in the past year.
Question: What album would your friends be surprised you own?
Answer: I don't know about an album. My friends know I love Mariah Carey, but they may not know I have over 200 Mariah songs in my iTunes.
Question: If you could perform with any person or group, who would it be and why?
Answer: I think by now you should know it's Mariah Carey.
Question: What do you do to unwind after a performance?
Answer: I don't really unwind after a performance. I'm still pumped up and just want to get back on stage.
Question: Which theme week would be most challenging to you and why?
Answer: Probably rock week because I don't know if my voice suits those kinds of songs.
Question: What theme week would you love to have for Season 11?
Answer: We should have a current Top 40 week. That could be fun.
Question: What's your dream song to perform?
Answer: 'Any Time You Need A Friend'
Question: What makes a great performer?
Answer: For me the voice is the most important, but making your singing believable makes a great performer.
Question: How do you combat stage fright?
Answer: Just think about the words to my song so I don't forget and just say a prayer.
Question: How do you plan on differentiating yourself in the competition?
Answer: I never want to pick an easy song. I want to continue to challenge myself vocally.
Question: If you could model your career after an artist, who would it be and why?
Answer: Mariah Carey without a doubt. I don't know if anyone will have as many number ones as her ever again. She is a pioneer for female artists and if I could have half of her success I would be very blessed.
Question: If you couldn't sing, what other talent would you most like to have?
Answer: I would probably be a soccer player. Soccer is huge in my family and I have played my whole life.
Question: What has been the most unique job/chore you've ever had?
Answer: I used a leaf blower in three inch hot pink heels one time.
Question: How would you define success in life?
Answer: I want to be, above all, happy. No amount of money can provide happiness.
Question: What's the most embarrassing thing you've ever seen or experienced??
Answer: I sang the national anthem in front of the mayor of McKinney and had a total Christina moment and flubbed the lyrics ... I cried from embarrassment for hours.
Question: What's your proudest moment in life outside of American Idol?
Answer: I think graduating high school. I felt really accomplished that day.
Question: What would people be surprised to learn about you?
Answer: I don't know if you can see on TV but I'm 4 foot 10 inches ... legally a dwarf in Texas.
Question: If you have 24 hours to do anything you wanted, what would you do?
Answer: I would sell out Madison Square Garden and then go to dinner with Adele and Mariah and talk about how fabulous they are.
Question: Who is the person that you would most like to meet?
Answer: I feel like Mariah Carey is my answer to every question, but I think she is fabulous.
Question: Do you have a favorite quote, phrase or personal motto / words to live by?
Answer: 'What would Mariah do?' and 'I'm a diva!'
Question: What's been the most surprising part of the Idol experience so far?
Answer: Becoming so close to all of the contestants even though it's a competition. We have really become a family because we are the only ones that can relate to what we are all going through.
Question: What have you learned about yourself by going through the Idol audition process?
Answer: That I need to believe in myself more ... confidence is key.
Question: What are you hoping to get out of your Idol experience?
Answer: I hope that I can fulfill my dreams and become a famous singer. I want to reach as many people as possible.
