It was Heart's song "Alone."  Gina Glocksen sang that song and Simon told her she didn't have the high note but it's a hard song to sing and she rocked it.

That is what people always say when their favorite loses because they just can't accept the fact that not everyone loves their favorite.  The fact is that this is NOT a singing competition, it is a competition to find the next big recording artist.... and it is voted on by viewers, so YES, it is a popularity contest and always HAS been.  I am not sure why you would think any differently.

Carly was incredible. I didn't like the pimipng either. But on tour, I was astonished.

I gotta disagree about Emily v Carly.

Emily hit those high notes much more clearly and easily thatn Carly did.

Carly is great, don't get me wrong, and I'm not putting her down in any way by saying this, but she often sounded just a bit strained in the upper range.

I thought that was one of the best Heart renditions I've heard on this show. We'll obviously see how she does with other songs/styles, but heaad to head with Heart, she tops Carly.
