A brief look into Scott Macintyre's profile will show that this contestant is not only an incredible talent, but also an amazing and genuine person.

Scott is not some fly by night, "Hollywood" wannabe.  He has accomplished fantastic things in his young life.  Rhodes Scolar, Music Conservatories, Graduating college at 19 and the obvious overcoming his blindness.

Scott does have a bit of a career already started via the self promotion of his albums and his appearance on some Christian Television shows, but I think American Idol could use this talented young man, his message and his disability to promote what a real role model looks like.
