Most awkward moment I recently showed up for an eye appointment a week early.
Surprising But True I saw the Beatles when I was 14, and was the typical female you see in old footage of their concerts...the bangs, the velvet jumper w/tie, and tears running down the fa...

Thanks for the "wake up." Next day they replayed that on the news and I caught that he said two songs...judges choice and personal choice...but since I didn't hear that the night I wrote this I checked my blog from last year to see what they did and the top 3 sang 3 songs...Producer, Judge and Personal choice...But you're right...things they are a changin' this year...4 judges is sure putting a crimp in things...Last year the Final 2 also sang 3 songs...Clive Davis' choice, personal choice and contestant's choice of songwriter's songs that made the top 10. Wonder what they'll do this year? It's anyone's guess at this point...I just wish they'd go back to 3 judges so we get more songs and less talk.

Thanks for your comment! It's always nice to share opinions on here... especially when there's no one yelling from the other side. haha

I was raised in a house filled with Elvis Presley, Dean Martin, and Frank Sinatra music... the Beatles never made their way into my ears when I was a kid, so my musical taste never developed for them. I do love Ringo though. I saw him in the movie Caveman and loved it!

I was a big Danny and Allison fan at the beginning of the race, but I heard Kris perform "To Make You Feel My Love" and I was just completely infatuated with his voice. I loved that song when Garth sang it.. but it was a whole new level of love when Kris made it his own. From that episode on I was smitten. I love the way he makes every performance his own. When he sang "She Works Hard For the Money" I was like what the heck is he doing that song for?? And once he started I realized that it was because he can! I think that was probably my favorite performance though "Come Together" is really close on its heels! :)

True, the right person has won more than not...it's just sad to see someone go that is better than someone that stays...i.e. Sanjaya staying way too long...I just like to see them leave in the order they should leave. I hope the judges use their power for good and not for evil...

    Thanks for your comments!

    hey stephany...ayayayayayaya....

Gwen Stefani has proven to be more than a dumb blonde....she is beyond the typical woman who uses her goldie-locks and pretentious facial expressions to attain fame and respect...every year its the same thing...american idol always has the politically correct number of minorities including the bimbos...fortunately they will be gone very soon as they exhibit little or no talent and their insincerity will sink them soon enough...know what i'm sayin???.....bring on the soul, the passion and the intensity....leave the blondes for the mcdonalds drive through....cheers...

I was hoping for the song selection too. After you suggested that, I really wanted that to happen. The judges get on the contestants too much for song choice and that way it could be avoided and then they would just be able to judge on performance.

I'm glad that can only save someone once. I just hope they don't use it for someone who really hasn't proved themselves worthy. Anoop is not really that good in my eyes. Maybe he has a personality... but if you don't have the talent to back it up, then why bother saving him?

I'm still very much a fan or Allison and Danny. Those are my two faves. I really do not like Adam, which is frustrating because so many people predict that he already has the win. It makes me nervous.

I didn't even think of that as an option! The judges picking the song choices... I like that much better than them having the final say on the voting... I hope that you are right and not me. I had my conspiracy theories going wild over here.

Thanks for pointing that out. I hope you're right.

I was glad to see the drama queen leave but I was not in favor of the first set of 3.

    MORE ABOUT ME

Favorite Judge Simon. My opinions gravitate to his, for the most part. I don't approve of the way he berates contestants, however...but he is usually spot on when it comes to true talent.
Favorite Performance Bo Bice's "Time in a Bottle", Carrie Underwood's "Alone", and David Archuletta's "Imagine".
Song Requests Any Beatles, Billy Joel, Abba, Carpenters, The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Eric Clapton, Carol King, James Taylor, Carly Simon.
Definition of an Idol Someone with an outstanding voice and musical skills, backed up with style, personality, and the ability to behave in a way that deserves the title.
Advice to Contestants Get over the hype: the press, the stylists, everyone's comments - and do what feels right to you. Stick with your style and make whatever you do yours. And don't sit down on the stage, it compresses your diaphragm and makes me extremely nervous for...
Favorite Music The Beatles (always and forever), Billy Joel, Eric Clapton, Fleetwood Mac, Elton John, Bonnie Raitt, The Dixie Chicks, but most recently, John Mayer and James Blunt.
