It was very sad to see you leave because I dont think you deserved it as other contestants performances were more deserving of leaving than you. But as you said, there is a reason for everything and I know something even greater awaits you! So smile :)

The biggest upset yet in Idol history. Pia is one of the most talented ladies every to grace the stage. This shows that its a popularity vote and not talent. Influenced mostly by teen girls. Thats why in the past the most talented did not win.

The judges used their save way too soon. Casie can not even sing and they saved him? Pia is a better singer than at least 3 others on the show.

No sound on the video either!

How can America ???get it wrong???? Why do the results seem ???shocking???? The talent this season is ???river deep, mountain high.???
Three amazing judges, and I'm willing to bet they are three amazing people as well as top performers, sit there in the front row, live, and hear the contestants in a different way than those of us at home. This season more than any other, perhaps, they have been hearing ???our top 11,??? not only during their performances on stage but at times throughout the week. Don't forget, by the way, these judges listened to tens of thousands of auditions, many candidates repeatedly throughout the selection process, to cull it down to those we watch and hear week after week.
Every week this season millions of viewers, and often one or more of those judges, are going to be surprised and/or upset; because we had 11 super stars to vote for, and now every week someone with a heap of talent will be going home.
We're being provided a deeper behind the scenes look this year, and I feel like we're getting to know even more about the candidates. It seems to me that, like our judges, we have eleven (now 8) amazing candidates to vote for, and it looks like they are people we could all get to know and love, as well. Speaking ???coast to coast,??? because my sister and her family in New England exchange emails with us here in the Pacific Northwest, we (our two households) love them all. We almost didn't vote, because we wanted to vote for every one of them.
But we did vote. We voted for all of them, so they could feel our love. Then we voted extra times for our favorites. (I know, that's probably stupid, because of the way our own votes can cancel each other out.) Then we groaned every time anyone ended up in the bottom three. We also shook our heads in amazement at the final results.
Are we sorry to see Pia go, in our house? Definitely. Did we vote for her? Mutiple times. Is there anyone else we think should have gone home instead? Not really; the margin of talent betwe

Pia is clearly the best Female vocalist on the show, if not the best overall. This season is a disaster. Casey Abrams is 1 of the best guys on the show along with Jacob Lusk. The fact that the judges needed to save Casey at #11 is just sad. I am done with AI this season if not forever. Clearly the producer's learned nothing in Season 5 when Taylor Hicks won and the best overall singer/performer was Chris Daughtry. IF the producers wanted the best overall singer/performer to win they would take control. Meaning let American pick the bottom 3, and then the judges would pick who is eliminated from those 3 until they reach the final 3 contestants.

I think some of the voters only vote for their favorite and they lack to vote for the real talent.

Dd you see the judges faces when it was announced that Pia was going home????? What does that tell you? America you suck!!! Think before you vote & vote for the singer not the one you think is the cutest!

Idol change the system of voting, the judges & America should have a point system combined. The judges know the talent better than we do. Pia should have won, if it was just based on talent.

We all know Pia will have a terrific career, but she was our American Idol this season. C I dol needs to change the voting system to a point system between the voters & the judges. Idol, take note!!!!

America did get it wrong! I really thought she would go all the way???she is in a class by herself. There was no way Pia or Stefano should have been in the bottom. Not to take away from Cassey, but the judges wasted their one and only save.
I was pissed off that this happened and said ???That???s it, I???ll never watch American Idol again!??? But of course, I said that when Cris Daughtry got booted off also???now look at him and who won it that year? LOL
No doubt Pia will go places, she???s beautiful , classy and man can she sing! She has a wonderful career ahead of her!

Who wants to watch American Idol after what happened with Pia. Teenyboppers are out f control with their voting for sexy guys. Format should be more like DO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE where judges have the final decision up to the last four candidates. At least you know the most talented will be put in the finals. I have never been so shocked and disappointed in American Idol in all the years that I have watched it. THIS IS NOT A PERSONALITY OR SEX CONTEST - ITS A SINGING CONTEST.

I feel you need to vote if you want your idol to win. The only thing I was upset about was the nut out there singing with no shirt on. I think you picked the bottom of the barrel getting him to sing. Couldn't understand a thing he was singing (if that's what you call it.) His actions up there were garbage. Worst entertainment in 10 years

Here's a suggestion for the show; use the same method used in "Dancing with the starts" Judges vote as well as the audience.....

Pia will have a very successful career in the music industry. I see GRAMMY potential! Maybe the show producers voted her off themselves to allow her to sign a record deal?

People are not voting for talent - obvious from the results of last night's elimination of Pia. Judges need to rethink when to use the SAVE. What a great loss - someone else should have been eliminated.

Pia's Mountain High performance was not what it needed to be to stay on. Sorry Pia; great song, tremendous notes, wonderful moments. Tina Turner's "Mountain High" is an incredable song, delivered by a incomparable performer, but a very complex melody and like Celine's songs, you have to not just knock it out of the park, but out of the parking lot and she didn't. It happens. Pia is an wonderful, wonderful singer who needs and deserves a multi album record contract and should be doing sold out concerts. The judges wisely suggested an up beat song; Pia chose the wrong one. I look forward to her concerts. Suck it up and go on with the show. Ron Baker

Pia is amazing. She is a natural artist with charisma as well as talent and we looked forward to seeing her every week. None of the other contestants are even in her league. American Idol needs to change its voting procedure if it wants to keep a broad audience of all ages. My suggestion: America votes to determine the bottom three and the judges decide who should go home out of those bottom three. Stephen Tyler needs to give feedback not just cheerlead as Mr. Nice Guy. Idol, you lost us on this one.

The judges' reaction to Pia's elimination was very disrespectful to Stefano, who is more talented than many of the past winners of Idol! America voted and Pia's out. She wasn't especially likeable or exciting.
