I think steven tyler is a great judge and he's getting better at it i think he should be a judge next year

If the vote had been solely based on this single performance the judges would have used the save anyway (Pia was so boring). The outcome of this vote was about something other than vocal talent and showmanship.

Clumsy show this year. I am sorry to say that, but it is. The SAVE should not be used for Casey. What happens to other shinning stars out their like Pia and Laurent? What happens if this case happened again, especially to those supper stars??? It would be double mourning people!!!

I think they used the save very wisely because casey is amazing! I just hope next week the same thing doesn't happen cause he's my favorite.

I just hope that Casey does what he says and doesn't let them down. If he takes Jennifer's advice and gets back to the basics of what he is about, he should be able to make it to the top 5. If he doesn't, America will put him out again. I think and James are the 2 best in the show this year and contrary to some comments here Pia is the 3rd. Those people are bringing in the whole package and know how to perform in a professional manner. Naima, Paul, and Stefano need to go. And I believe, in that order. Naima has talent, but if you base it on the total package she definitely lacks it in the appearance department. Paul is just a Rod Stewart ripoff and Stefano. He just plain annoys me. That is my opinion and you are welcome to your own. I just think America has this all wrong this year and if you really watch, you'll see where the true talent is this year. They had it wrong last year when Lee De Wyze won it all and Crystal Bowersox should have won it. I'll never figure out the power of the 14 year old American teenage female.

I can't believe that America voted Casey off. He has a natural born talent and is in my opinion, one of the top runners for the 2011 Idol. There are 3 females that are so weak and just don't have the talent to stay on. Let's vote them off instead. Thank you Randy, JLo and Stephen for saving him! You do recognize raw talent when you see it!

These unbelievable results make me question the integrity of the voting process. Casey's musical talents are unmistakable.

Perhaps the voting system needs an overhaul. I think it should be 50/50 weighted so that the judges can submit a vote, something like marks out of ten. That gives us a better idea, although it looks to me that in this season, Steven is going to give everyone high marks. I must add that the voting public have got it so wrong from my perspective. Naima always sounds flat, and just not breathtaking enough. I don't get what the judges were seeing. Haley is average. Scotty is too narrow, it's a pop contest for goodness sakes! Thea is too young and shy - she is not a pop star. I think Ashthon had the popstar aura. Its wrong that the competition is judged by the generation who are the highest users of the technology - teenage girls. Why did Lee win last year? He was average all season.

To be honest, I have never followed American Idol before, and I never thought twice about it. After I saw Casey Abrams' audition this year, I was hooked. Casey is the whole reason I make sure I watch every week, and the fact that America voted him off is rediculous. My faith in this new judging panel was re-enforced when they used their save for him, VERY good call. Casey is more than a good voice, he's an all around great musician. He deserves to win this competition, HANDS DOWN!

I started to cry when Ryan said he had the lowest votes...And then when Randy stopped him from singing and told him he was saved it turned into BALLING!!! Casey you are the man bro and no matter what you will go far.This was the best moment so far since I started watching Idol from season 1...just amazing...Rock on Casey!! youre the best

GOD!!! i just disagree with that..
what will the judges do if the next week pia & james get elliminated, see!! in this case this is not just being good at sing..
the reality is casey sings great but he got no votes, then can the judges guarantee that the others great singers (like pia,casey,etc) will get the high votes when they sing great???

i think if there's still simon there, the save will not be given this time...
after i saw the saving, i just think that will be more fair and better without any save chance like the others season before...

So now that the judges used the save on Casey,what happens if James goes home. He is the best and deserves to win but the best hasn't won since DAVID COOK.

@ AcanroSeer America is the voting voice at this point now, The judges could only have saved him. @ Cinnamon312 I absolutely agree I am just so glad we have 6 in our house that are of age to vote! I have rooted for James from day one! There are some other guys and gals that are good an no doubt they will go on to have great careers, but I do believe James should go on to win! Crystal Bower-socks from last season was on the radio station news today mentioned about her being at the opry so they will all definitely be doing what they love, I just hope America will start voting for good voices from now on and not looks and clothes!

Casey is the one with the most talent, in my opinion. I agree that he is one of the best in the history of idol. The judges know it, and that's why he was saved. Trust me, if he doesn't win idol, he'll still have a career.

I think what the judges did last week was wrong!!!!!! Now say Jacob, Pia, Paul or anybody else is voted off then that is fine, the judges have more or less said Casey is so wonderful he can't be voted off. The judges in my humble opinion really screwed up big time. So if Naima, James, Haley, Pia, or anybody else gets voted off then it's fine with the judges. I CANT believe it got this close for Casey!!! I am SSOOO glad they used the save on him! He is a PHENOMINAL musician!! He so unique and so original, and just SOO talented! I just cant believe America let it get that close.

I can't believe the special treatment Scott is receiving,girls being allowed to leave their seats and and go on stage, on camera on an AFTRA show,unrehearsed? If a guy got out of his seat and approached Pia,security would have him floored and removed in a moment! It doesn't seem fair to the other guys and the show to allow this to happen! It gives the impression of favoritism towards towards one contestant over another!
