James has been the only person that I've seen who has not said "I'm the next American Idol because..." He said, "The reason I can be the next American Idol..." He has class and modesty. I really like this guy.

Can I just say I LOVE James Durbin!!!!! I cry everytime I hear him sing. I am a Mom to a child with Asperger's (same as James) and it just goes to show, NEVER let anything hold you back from your dreams. I'm voting for him ALL THE WAY!!!!

Every time I hear him sing I remember why I like music I am old enough to remember when rock and roll was more than a hug fest. When music made you get up and scream. When the music made your body vibrate , and made you feel alive.

I LOVE love L o v e this guy!! Not only does he have a rockin' voice but he is an inspiration to all those with any type of disability out there whether it be A.S. or T.S. or any other. I feel such pride watching him perform. I have a son with aspergers and it has been a wonderful boost to all of my family & friends (= We're all pulling for ya James man, you deserve to go all the way!!! Hey James great job last night on idol. I really thing your going to be in the top 5. You really have such a high voice range. I think you really already know which singers you can do. The only ones i can think of right off hand would be mabbie led zepplin aka Robert Plant and i seen someone sang rob halford of judas preist, i think you could do him turbo lovers a good one. Mabbie Iron maiden he also has a high pitched voice. What ever you sing i think you can nail it. Keep up the great work and good luck :) Robert....

James, your performance and story bring tears to my eyes. I have a son with Asperger's, and he can't talk yet. I know it can be difficult, and I feel like I can relate to you and some of the daily struggles I'm sure you dealt with growing up. But you are unbelievable, and you have an incredible talent! You ARE an American Idol already! Stay strong to yourself no matter what, and congrats on becoming a parent (kids bring out the best in us!)! My son looks up to you and we love you so much. :D

This may sound strange to some, but not all, especially those who are effected by Tourettes Syndrome. My father had Tourettes and in the end was part of what he died from. James I just wanted you to know that you singing the Paul McCartney song made me cry... you sounded so awesome and it reminded me of my father and how he loved to sing and had a voice that most envied. He never had the chances in life that you have now. Make the most of it all but dont lose your way. I am routing for you every step of the way. And thank you for bringing the tears to my eyes that I havent been able to shed since he passed in 08', and the day after my sons birthday. Now my son has Tourettes, ADHD, OCD. He just turned 16 and is starting some of the vocal "tics". I want him to succeed in life and with you as his inspiration and all kids with Tourettes.
