Phillip deserved the win he got, America voted with a record breaking number of votes and he was their choice...if he wasn't yours why not keep all your negative comments to yourself!  I think he did a great job especially with all the health problems he had during the entire competition. They had GREAT singers this year and even though Colton, Sylar, Elise, Joshua or Jessica did not win, I am sure they all will have a future in recording and singing for a living....this is certainly not the end of the road for many of the very talented singers!  

i would just like to say that we had picked phillip from the start and voted for him many , many times. hes a truely talented person. hes one of a kind!!! we will buy your music and looking forward to hearing it!!! congrts to a new beginning for you!!

Such a strong voice, and such a humble man.  There should really be a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in American Idol.  God is still in control Joshua, don't worry you aare anointed and God has given you such a strong and awesome voice, use it for His glory.  Let everything that has breath praise the Lord, Joshua you were born to sing praises to the Lord God Almighty.  To God be the glory for al that He has done.  You got plenty recognition, someone already has you on their list, I hope it is for gospel.  God bless and keep you Joshua is my prayer.  Love you!

Americal Idol really need a 1st, 2nd ad 3rd place.  All of these people auditioning and performing for weeks and only one person gets chosen is rediculous.  Idol should give at least three (3) people a chance, it would help a lot.

I can't not believe that Joshua did not make it to the finals!  It is ridiculous!  The judges should have let Jessica go when she was voted off previously.  Joshua needed to be in the finale.  I won't be watching.

Joshua you are the best all season, the best I've seen on there in a long time. I voted for you like alot of times each time I'd vote and that was every week. For the best singer not to be one of the final two is crazy.  I stayed up late just to watch you sing when I had to be up very early in the mornings.  One thing now I won't have to stay up for the finale, you aren't there so I no longer have any interest in the show.  I'll be waiting for your first single and CD to come out, can't wait!  You're an awesome singer Joshua!

I just love the love that J-Lo gave Joshua afterwards.  I love the love.  God is Love and it's what makes the world go round.  

If the judges had not given him a standing ovation every time and tried to ram him down our throats I might have had a chance to listen to him. He screams alot though and I don't really get into that kind of music. Seriously, they needed to quit playing favorites in this show. It's downright upsetting and it made me like him much less.

Joshua is a great singer but he keeps on screaming. it's freaking annoying. THE judges' pet is gone. WHHAHAHAHHAHA. :)) I still prefer if it was Joshua and Jessica for the finale. Now its time for America to vote - the real talent - or the white cutie who can sing and play the guitar. Hope they make the right choice! JESSICA FTW!

I was brought to tears and shocked too when Joshua was elimated...HE WAS THE BEST! I feel I did my part because I voted for him numerous times...if you read this Joshua and to whomever reads this just know that Joshua does not need AI to succeed and be great..he will probably suceed more than the winner, look at Jennifer Hudson who was voted off early and Daughtrey who was third runner up (forgot what season) they are  really big, i love their music...Joshua is going to shine no matter what and people are going to buy his music and support him. Oh, and to all the people that say he is a screamer, there are different types of singing and his "screaming" got him along ways. He just has alot of soul like alot of RB and gospel singers. Well I guess I have to vote for Phillip now because I like his style too. God Bless Joshua!!

I have been watching this show for many years. Every year I become more and more disappointed. Josh clearly has the best voice and performance qualities of anyone in the lot. I do not want to watch a popularity contest any more. It should be based on talent. I hope the judges are given more power next season. Otherwise, the ratings will continue to dip.

So sad about the results once again. :-(

Everytime I view the clip of Joshua's elimination I get angry.  It is my OPINION, Jennifer, Randy, and Steven are very FAKE and disingenuous!!!  They set Joshua up week after week for this disappointment when they knew no matter how great he was on the show, in all probability they had a predetermined winner.  Steven even stated who the winner was going to be on Wednesday night.  This show really needs a major overhaul from producer on down.  It's too "typed cast."  Joshua will SOAR TO GREAT HEIGHTS OF SUCCESS, just stay tuned.
