Dont know why people are trying to make it a discrimination issue, that cleary has nothing to do with it, if you have watched the show all 11 seasons you would know this. Usually most in the top 10 make some kind of an album, its whether or not ppl actually follow and support them on whether they make it or not.

Why some people in here fighting about who should win?! Jessica and Phillip are friends, and Jessica very happy for Phillip, and Phillip can't stop saying she's like the greatest, just, this is so funny for me.

Congrats to Phillip for winning American Idol! But also congrats to Jessica! If it's not for American Idol, people all over the world will not recognize her amazing talent. Even if she didn't win this contest, there are more opportunities that will be available for her because of her great voice. i love the both of them because I can see their friendship and they're happy for one another with what they've achieved. I know Jessica will make it big in her career! Jessica Sanchez you make Filipino people proud! God bless!

     I for one was totally surprised to see Philip as the winner. I did not see a whole lotta talent with him. But I see how humble and how he did just stay true to himself. Just like last year I really thought Lauren should have won. But I am blessed for him and what he will bring to the table for people to hear in the future.

filipino american should not audition anymore for the next season, because their not looking for the real talent...they are looking for a legitimate american to win the competion...american idol sucks, i mean randy jackson and jeniffer lopez cant even sing like jessica does...and now philip who hasn't changed a bit from day one of american idol won for singing his last song which is not really an originally written song for him titled "home"...its not fair because i've seen the video of the original singer who sung his 3rd set of song...if im not mistaken this is the third time that someone as good as jessica didnt win...philip doesnt deserve to win the title...he can only sing flat notes!!!! AMERICAN IDOL SUCKS!

Phillip has passion when he sings. Jessicca is a great singer but Phillip gives you chills when he sings cause you can feel his music. That is what a real musician does.

I Adore Phillip and Jessica, and it doesn't matter who won... they made it to the FINALS so give them both credit for making it soo far and doing GREAT! Beside they have so much exposure, if Jessica doesn't  come out with an album these producers have no idea what a TRue artist is... so good luck to both of them and I can't wait to hear what they have to say...or in this case SING :)

If you don't have anything good to say... go to another website with all of the other losers.  The guy deserved to win.  That's why he DID.  Jessica was great but she wasn't even close to Phillip. 

The online voting has never been opened on the last two days, and sms voting from here in UAE is not possible too, Jessica lost lot of votes from other country because of this, anyway congratulation Philip and for Jessica you are also a winner in our heart

Jessica Sanchez was ROBBED!!  Phillip Phillips is a good performer but nowhere near as great as Jessica.  This will probably work out better for Jessica because she won't be tied down to an American Idol contract.  Her career will surely take off!

Congrats Phillip!  Both are amazing singers, but Phillip has his own unique sound which made him stand out.  Jessica is still too young to know who she wants to be.  During her performances she was Whitney, Mariah or some other famous singer.  She will find her own sound I'm sure.  Bravo!
