I am loving loving Joshua, Congrats to Phillip, Jessica is gifted! Love all three, all are blessed and will have wonderful careers. Josh is my fav but I am following all their careers. I'll prob never watch AI again tho unless the talent matches Joshua's and Jessica's talent! This was first time I watched since Jordan Sparks won.But God be with Joshua, Jessica and Philliip, for health, peace and prosperity in every area of life.

COngratulations Phillip! I freakkinn VOTED for you like no tomorrow. I had all my friends vote and they don't even watch Idol, LOL. I had them text too. I am so happy for you & I just want to let you know that when Ryan announced your name, I screamed, I cried, and I was sooooooooo happppppppyy! =D Yay!!!! You won for so many reasons. You are an original true to yourself down to earth artist who portrays pure genuiness yet is comically correct & simple kind of man. Your fans LOve You!! DOn't ever change please.

Do people not know how American Idol's are chosen.... the Judges have nothing whatsoever to do with it... It is the American People.... choosing the one they believe would be the best in the entertainment business not "The Voice" 

It is a all around musical career who they think would be a good representation and Phillip had the most according to the public.  If I hear Joshua screech It's a mans world one more time I'm going to puke...

Great great one of the greatest singers ever on this show.  The elimination is crazy will stop watching American Idol, it makes no sense when the show is not about the best.  This guy should have been the winner, and the whole world knows it.  I hope we see and hear much more about him.  People will forget Phillip Phillips

He did his thing and dind't let anyone stear him away from what he is!!! Not his cloths, not his style, not his originality, he staid true to himself!!! i think phillip deserved to win, he never was in the bottom and didnt have to get saved by the judges he won all on his own if it wasnt for the judges saving jessica she would of been home long time ago!!

I have never seen such a humble, sensative, youngman as Phillip Phillips on American Idol. I believe he is what America needs now. I pray for him to stay humble, and a compassionate person.

I do so agree with all the comments about Phillip being the most humble contestant yet.  I've never seen a contestant walk off the stage like he did crying, and go down and hug his mom and dad, instead of standing up there eating up the applause.  And I too, hope he stays just the way he is and the media doesn't change him.

I have read comment after comment here for weeks on end, people everyone has their favorites and mine has always been Phillip.  I heard him sing at my daughter's graduation.  He has amazing talent.  I have not put down one other singer but it seems like in this country that is all people know how to do.  If you don't like another's music you put them down. Root for who you like and tear other's down!  They were all great they made it to Idol.  America chose and they chose Phillip!  Phillip was original, talented, genuine, and truly has a passion for music on his terms.  He is following his dreams.  Why would you want to put someone down for that? We all have dreams, right?  He may not have been your favorite for whatever reason - but there is no reason to bad mouth, or put him down because your favorite didn't win. Many of these will go far with their singing careers but before you JUDGE or say anything - If you don't have anything nice to say - Don't say it all!!!!  Focus on the good for a change!  Phillip you are the AMERICAN IDOL!  Thanks for staying just who you are and being true to yourself!  Can't wait to buy that first CD.  To all the other contestants I wish you well in your careers as well.  Everyone did their very best!  If you want to complain - try getting up there and singing - let us judge you for the way you sound, the way you look, the things you say!   P2 ROCKS!

Jessica is a very talented singer, without a doubt, but the big-voiced, Mariah Carey-type singers are a dime a dozen. Phillip is honest, always stayed true to himself, and is one of the most authentic singers. I can't wait for his first album!

I think even if Jessica had one, Phillip would have been a success
