I wish i had the gutts to go there.Eerybody says i should go but scared of getting rejected! Ilove this show though.
Do the people who think that Jessica Sanchez "should" have won for other reasons, other than how well she presented herself, realize that she is AMERICAN and that all Americans, except for Native Americans, came from somewhere else originally? Had Jessica not been American, she would not have been able to compete at all. So, what is the point of talking about "Pino pride" etc. If a contestant is of Italian, German, Norwegian or other heritage, does that mean that they have to be labelled with that in order to draw in others of similar heritage? Yes, of course this is a popularity contest, as are all competitions in all fields of the arts. Without people to appreciate what they do, they would be singing to a hairbrush in their rooms. That's just the way it is. Why do you suppose that the artist almost always appears at his/her exhibitions? Being popular is at least as important as being good at what they do. They are, if you'll excuse the expression, selling themselves, at least as much as their art.
Jessica should won in idol,,,and Philip Philips shouldn't even in the finalist she should vote out before Joshua and Hollie,, what a waste of time of voting if they don 't count the votes anyway its the judge decisions who want them to win not the Americas choice...the judge are sucks i would love Simon Cowell back in the idol
@sophia2 How do you know that if Phillip Phillips had been eliminated, that Jessica Sanchez would have won?? That makes as much sense as establishing a method of eliminating everyone YOU don't like, so that the contestant you do like stands a better chance of winning. Get over it. Jessica Sanchez has been and will continue to enter everything she can and may very well place first in the future. This is not the first time she hasn't won, despite her impressive vocal range, and it won't be the last. But, her determination is to be admired and her ability to hit the high notes is certainly impressive. The point was that the artist with the most votes, Phillip Phillips, won. IF circumstances were different, not just for this competition, but in life, everything would be different. Life is just that. Full disclosure. I liked Phillip from the very first time I saw and heard him and was stoked beyond belief when he won. Good job, both Jessica and Phillip. Only one can win though and Phillip won.
i thought the show last night was lame-it was all about everyone except the 2 finalists-it was the joshua-jennifer-steven show. i love phillip and thought he should win all along but the judges had an obvious favorite all season and i don't think i will watch another season
dont know why people is so angry with the results? both are so good, so it is only about preferences i prefer phillips style and originality , that is all, so you dont have to criticize thats crazy

Joshua should have been in the finale. Phillips is pathetic and if people think he can sing, that is just crazy. The faces he makes and the movements as if he has to go to the bathroom is not what I would consider title worthy. Joshua is truly a performer and technical singer at an age of 18. It is a true shame. I may never watch this show again because the true talent never wins!

Phillip is amazing!!! His original style will cross many music genres & sell lots of albums. Way to go!!!!!!!!!!

Jessica will undoubtedly be a bigger star. i guess it was a nice gesture of sympathy for Phillip, because his star will eventually fade like dome of the other past Idol Winners.
Qualufications for an Idol Winner: (1) white male or female 20 yrs+, (2) black female, (3) must be able to sing well or mediocre if you're good looking (4) Asians, black males, or other minority are welcome in order to boost ratings and to enjoy a short ride to temporary fame.

Finale Performance Show
The Top 2 finalists, Phillip Phillips and Jessica Sanchez, battled it out on stage at the Nokia Theater in downtown Los Angeles for the American Idol crown! They each performed three songs: one picked by Executive Producer Simon Fuller, one of their own choice, and the first single they'd release if they win the title!

Day one of the finale saw Jessica and Phillip sing 3 songs each. We also got performances from Jason Derulo and Scotty McCreery.
GO, and AUDITION! Take it from someone who had the talent but allowed stage fright to get the best of her. It is better to have given your best shot and failed than to have never tried at all. When you are 40 years old and looking back on your life, you will never regret the times you tried and failed, only the times you never tried at all!
