Excellent American Idol. I have to say that when the winner is announced please give more time to the reaction of the winner and the contestants. Eliminate the trophy and the confetti. We can not see what is going on with all that confett coming down. Also, have some support in back of the winner when singing the song. Phillip could not get through his song and was very emotional. He needed a little help from his friends. Thanks for another great year. Looking back at auditions, when we heard Phillip's name for the first time we said "Phillip Phillips" OMG. Little did we know. Good Luck with auditions for Season 12.

To all you Phillip haters out there: Did you see Jessica Sanchez on "Live, with Kelly" this morning? She sang, Guess What? "I Will Always Love You" again. And let me tell you that she sounded like nothing special to me without all the Fanfare from American Idol. Do you Jessica fans really think that the young people who buy music want to hear Whitney Houston? I doubt it. That's why Phillip will sell more music than Jessica, even though she has many more views on YouTube. She is terrific for a 16 year old, but nothing Different; just another Whitney, Beyonce, or Mariah. She can be a Giant Broadway Star, but don't think she'll sell music. That's just my opinion and not taking anything away from Jessica; because I think she's Great. I just think that Phillip is more appealing to the Public and more talented overall. And I think America also felt the same way. Best of Luck to both of these Mega Talented Stars.

Phillip is a lovely, crazy and humble guy, he's a great songwriter and a great man. He didn't care bout the people out there said bout him. Even most of people hated him but he didn't care he just having fun on stage and forget bout everything. He's awesome

Yes Jordan I agree with you Phillip is amazing! So as Jessica's fans see it, all you have to do to win is develop some type of painful illness, get 8 surgeries during the competition, and you will for sure win. Last time I checked - every singer sounds the same, Jessica sounds like Jessica, Joshua does too - as do Colton - and any other singer - it's their signature - Johnny Cash - hello? you all need to realize that he had serious health issues and yet you could never tell - and he made sure there was little said about it. I do suggest to those who are complaining that he did not participate in videos etc - please, please find out the "why" before judging. It happens so often, we are quick to say something - based on assumption - when in fact Phillip had to undergo procedure after procedure to put off the surgery - kidney stones are NO fun! They will make anyone go to their knees in pain - Let's pary for a speedy recovery after his surgery (very soon)
